Additional Info: A 3000ML with wooden dash and luxury carpets and trim was also available. Also Broadspeed developed a turbo version with 230bhp, which got the car to 60 in around 5.6 secs and down the 1/4 mile in 14.5 secs, added to this was a Special Equipment version called the TVR 3000M Turbo SE with larger wheels and arches. In 1976 the M series got a facelift and the side vents disappeared. Other models within the range included the: TVR 1600M with a 86bhp 1.6 litre engine, 0-60 in 10.4, 1/4 mile in 17.6 and the TVR 2500M with a 106bhp 2.5 litre engine, 0-60 in 9.3 secs, 1/4 mile in 17.3. In 1976 the 3.0 TVR Taimar was built with an opening rear hatch, as the lack of a boot opening on the M Series was criticised by the press. |
