Additional Info: The Speedster II was actually conceived in 2000 and released around 2003, with many improvements made throughout it’s build time. Each car is built to the customers requirements and with great detail. PGO started as a general kit car maker in 1980. In 1998 it was taken over by a couple of Frenchmen who started making replica Porsche 356 Speedsters, however Porsche took them to court and the company found itself in difficulty. In 2005 they made a come back and got financial backing and the speedster II essentially becames a car in it’s own right. Latest offering now has a 6 speed box and a BMW 1.6 litre turbocharged engine with 181bhp and between 177-192lbft of torque (no change to 0-60 time, but top speed now around 140mph). |
