Additional Info: The exterior styling went through a number of facelifts throughout this generation of the Corvette. 1968 had 300bhp and 350bhp 327cu engines and 427’s with 390-435bhp. 1969 had the same but the 350bhp 327cu was replaced by a 350bhp 350cu. 1970 saw a 300bhp and 370bhp 350cu and a 390bhp 454cu. 1971 had a 300bhp 350cu, a 330bhp LT1 350cu and 454’s with 365bhp and 425bhp. 1972 had (net bhp) 200/210bhp 350’s, an LT1 had 255bhp and the 454cu had 270bhp. The LT1 was still capable of low 14 sec 1/4 miles. 1973/74 with little change. the 454cu was dropped in 1975. 1976-1982: the 350’s hovered around the 180-230bhp mark, these later Vetts were running low 15 to mid 16 second 1/4 miles. |
