Additional Info: 1956 models had an increase to 210bhp and also got a 265cu with a 2x4bbl carb making 225bhp. 1957 models got an increase in engine size to a 283cu V8 with many options: 220bhp (4 bbl), 245bhp (2 x 4 bbl), 250bhp (fuel injection with auto), 270bhp (with another 2 x 4 bbl) and 283bhp (fuel injection with manual that did 0-60 in 5.7 secs and a 1/4 mile in 14.3 secs). 1958-60 pretty much the same as 1956 with one or two power increases for some of the engines. 1961’s top engine was now rated at 315bhp. 1962 now with 327cu V8’s rated at 250bhp, 300bhp and 340bhp and a 327cu with 360 bhp which gets to 60 in 5.9 secs and 1/4 mile in 14.9 secs. |
