Additional Info: The first turbo Buick Regals were built in 1978 with a 3.8 litre V6 engine, the Grand Nationals appeared in 1982 with a 4.1 litre V6 engine. 1983 had no Grand National, but it returned in 1984 and back with the 3.8 litre engine, power was around 200bhp. In 1986 the power was upped to 235bhp and could get to 60 in around 5 seconds. In 1987 power increased to 245bhp with a 1/4 mile time of 14.2, also a lightweight WE4 (Turbo T) option was offered, as well as a T-Type (added Type-T interior) and the GNX (as above). |
