Electric cars are rapidly growing in popularity and it is easy to see why. Motorists are becoming increasingly eco-conscious, plus they can also be a great way to save money in the long-term. There is also now much greater variety than before so there is a type for every motorist.

Here are a few of the most anticipated electric cars scheduled for release in 2020:

Audi E-Tron Sportback

This model from Audi has been hotly anticipated for a few years now and will be the German brand’s first saloon which is all-electric. As you would expect with this manufacturer, it is a sleek, comfortable and technologically-advanced automobile which boasts an impressive range of 250 miles between charges.

Ford Match E

The Match E from Ford is an electric car that is set to raise a few eyebrows thanks to taking inspiration from the iconic Ford Mustang automobile. Not a huge amount is known about the brand’s first entry into the electric market but it will certainly be one to look out for next year.

Vauxhall Corsa-E

The Corsa is one of the most common sights on the UK roads so it is expected that the electric version will be a huge hit with a wide range of motorists looking to make the switch to an electric vehicle next year. It has been given a slight facelift to differentiate itself from previous models and will provide an impressive range of 250 miles between charges.

SEAT El-Born

The impressive El-Born from SEAT will be the first car from the Spanish brand to use the VW Group’s MEB platform and boasts impressive statistics of a 62 mph speed of 7.5 seconds and a range of up to 260 miles with a charge time via a 100kW of 45 minutes.

Mini Electric

Scheduled to arrive in March 2020, the Mini Electric looks set to become the first electric hot hatchback and it is a vehicle that features the trademark styling and handling similar to the original 60’s era model which will be a huge pull for many motorists. It has a 7 second 0-62 time but with a smaller range than other arrivals (between 120 and 140 miles).

Volkswagen ID3

The ID3 from VW will be one of the more affordable electric vehicles hitting the road next year which means that it will be a popular choice with many motorists. As you would expect with VW, it is a reliable, comfortable and practical vehicle and there are a range of engines available that can offer a range between 249 and 373 miles.

2020 looks set to be a brilliant year for the electric car revolution with these vehicles ready to join the roads and encourage even more motorists to make the switch.
