Porsche is partnering with Vector Martini Racing (VMR), a powerboat racing specialist and leading global marine performance brand.

The partnership will see the world’s largest manufacturer of sports cars provide top of the range transport vehicles for the Vector event calendar as well as have involvement in the team’s unique iRace programmes.

Launched in May 2014, the Vector Martini Race Team won overall at the prestigious annual Cowes Classic Offshore Powerboat Race last year, where the team also picked up an impressive seven trophies over the weekend. These included The Beaverbrook Trophy (overall winner), The Mellery-Pratt Challenge Trophy, The Cougar Trophy and The Waynefleet Challenge Trophy. The Team will be returning to Cowes on September 5/6 to defend their Cowes Classic Offshore Title, as well as prepare for a Cross Channel World Record attempt later this month.

The Vector iRace programme allows special guests the opportunity to safely experience speeds of up to 100 mph (approximately 86 knots) on the open water in a controlled environment. Vector is the only team in the world currently able to offer such a programme, nicknamed the iRace 100 Club.
