Additional Info: Also avaliable was a 326 rated at 250bhp, a 326 HO 4 bbl rated at 285bhp and an RA400 (Ram Air) with 335bhp. 1968 saw a 350 rated at 265bhp, a 350 HO 4 bbl rated at 320bhp, a 400 rated at 330bhp, a 400 HO rated at 335bhp and a RA400 rated again at 335bhp. The 335bhp 400's in 1968 were capable of 0-60 in 5.8 and 1/4 mile in 14.2.

The difference between a Firebird and Trans Am were the options (trim, cosmetic, transmission and power combinations) that were available to each model. Also available in 1969 was a 350 with 265bhp, a 350 HO with 320bhp, a 400 with 330bhp, a 400 HO with 335bhp, a 400 Ram Air II with 335bhp and 400 Ram Air IV with 345bhp.
