Additional Info: SSC = Shelby Super Cars (nothing to do with Carroll Shelby however). Performance is shattering. In 2004 the Aero SC/8T was built using a supercharged Corvette engine developing between 782bhp and 908bhp and could get to 60 in around 3 secs and down the quarter mile in 10.5-11 secs. In 2006 a supercharged Ford V8 version produced well over 1000bhp and gave a 0-60 time of 2.8 secs. In 2007 it gained yet more power and now had Twin Turbos and a new 6 speed gearbox. In 2008 the Ultimate was built with a new Twin Turbo V8. As usual the info is always mixed on the internet, the Aero is suppose to have had changes to many of it’s models to allow the car to reach over 270mph. Also to note is the Ultimate Aero EV (electric vehicle), with wait for it …0-60 in 2.5 secs from it’s 1000bhp and 800lbft of torque motor. |
