Additional Info: The Morgan Plus 4 was originally a larger version of the 4 Plus 4, until the 4 Plus 4 eventually used the Plus 4 chassis, however it did continue to offer larger engines and more power. Built between 1950-1969 and then again from 1985-2000 and yet again from 2004 on. Available as a 2 and 4 seater. The 1950 model used a 68bhp 2088cc engine 0-60 in 17 secs, 1/4 mile in 21.2 secs. From 1953 it used a 90-106bhp 1991cc engine with variable 0-60 times depending on spec between 9.7-13.3 secs. In 1962 it used a 100bhp 2138cc engine. In 1985/86 a 122bhp 1995cc engine was used with a 0-60 time of around 9 secs and 1/4 mile time of around 16.9 secs. Around the late 1980’s until 2000 it used a 1994cc engine with around 138bhp 0-60 in 7.7 and 1/4 mile of 15.2 secs. The latest engine is a 2.0 Duratec that was available from 2004, originally with 141bhp then in 2006 as above with some minor updates over the years and a slight power and performance increase from 2014. In 2020 a new CX aluminium platform for the Plus Four was added, reducing weight. Plus Four 70th Anniversary Edition made available in 2020. Further updates added in 2021.
