Mega LogoBrief History About MEGA

MEGA was founded in 1992 in France. It was formed by AIXAM (which was founded in 1983 and is mostly a manufacturer and distributer of no-licence cars, as well as other compact vehicles). Together they became known as AIXAM MEGA and firstly built one of the most diverse vehicles, that could transform from a pickup then into an estate or convertible.

In 1992 they introduced the Track and began motorsport in the form of ice racing.

In 1996 AIXAM MEGA buys the MCA (Monte Carlo Automobile) company and builds the 1998 Monte Carlo, designed by Sera CD engineering using the MCA Centenaire car for its base concept.

In 2000 they take part in the Dakar Rally and come 2nd. The company continue to build compact vehicles.
