Additional Info: The Mk2 MX5 ran from 1998-2005 and had the model code NB. There were 1.6i’s with between 90-115bhp and 1.8i’s with between 130-146bhp. In 2001 the 1.8 got a VVT engine, increasing power to over 150bhp and there was also a slight facelift this year. There was also 100 MX5 SP’s for the Australian market in 2002 that produced 211bhp. In 2004 a Mazdaspeed Turbo in Japan rated at 178bhp was also produced and could get to 60 in around 7 seconds. |
