Additional Info: The 6th generation of the Camaro is an all-new car and has seen more extensive wind tunnel time and aerodynamic enhancements and is also over 200lbs lighter than the 5th gen.  ZL1 gets a supercharged 640bhp/631lbft engine, 6 speed manual or 10-speed automatic and will get to 60mph in around 3.4 seconds. The RS gets a 335bhp/284lbft 3.6 litre normally aspirated V6 with Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation), which disables two cylinders under light throttle applications to enhance efficiency (0-60 in 5.1 seconds). There’s also an LT with a 275bhp/295lbft 2.0 litre turbocharged engine (0-60 in 5.4 seconds). Most will have either a 6 speed manual or optional 8 speed auto transmission. For those that want more, there is also a 1LE performance package that adds various extras. Those that want to go drag racing will want the 2016 COPO Camaro with a a 350 racing engine and Whipple 2.9-liter supercharger. 2018 Camaro updates include a ZL1 1LE Extreme Track Package – more here.
