Brief History About ATS
ATS (Automobili Turismo e Sport) an Italian automotive company was founded in 1963 by Carlo Chiti, Romolo Tavoni and Giotto Bizzarrini, who all worked for the Ferrari Formula 1 team at the time. Wanting to go their own way and compete against Ferrari, they first raced their newly developed cars in 1963, followed by the introduction of the road going 2500 GT at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show. But due to financial difficulties and despite building great cars, by 1965 it was all over. In 2013 ATS was purchased by Emanuele Bomboi and Daniele Maritan with the intention of building a number of new cars. In 2017 the ATS GT was introduced with production planned for 2019.
