Brief History About Ariel
Ariel Motor Company Ltd is situated in Crewkerne, Somerset, England and was founded in 1991 by Simon Saunders and was originally called Solocrest Ltd until 1999. The company also trades under the TMI AutoTech name in the USA. It is a small low volume company, concentrating on building the lightweight, high performance Ariel Atom, originally designed in 1996 as a University project by Niki Smart, where Simon was a senior lecturer.
