Mini Cooper S F56 John Cooper Works Intercooler
As the preferred and official supplier of intercoolers to The Mini Challenge race Championship (www.minichallenge.co.uk) Forge Motorsport has now made the same race quality intercooler for the Mini Cooper S JCW F56 Chassis (2014-on) available to road car customers.

As the originators of the stepped core design way back in 2006, Forge are perhaps best placed within the market to call on vast expertise in order to deliver a direct fit intercooler that will enhance the performance potential of the BMW Group 2.0 petrol turbo engine.

The resulting product features a core that offers a 31% increase in frontal area over stock (BMW Part no.17517617600) and a correspondingly larger increase in volume of 41%.

The end tanks are cast aluminium, made from 3D printed prototypes that Forge manufactured in-house in its dedicated R&D facility in Gloucester, UK. The bar and plate design it has used comes after months of testing different core designs and opting for the core with best internal and external airflow.

During independent dyno evaluation, the pressure drop recorded across this unit was under 1 PSI – exceptionally good for a part that fits ‘as per stock’.

This product is designed, developed and manufactured entirely in Great Britain and is covered by Forge’s Worldwide lifetime warranty.
