- New GS F Sedan with Throaty 467 hp Appears in Windy City for First Time
- Lexus Presents “Verses and Flow” Music Performances at McCormick Place
Lexus is once again instilling high-performance passion as the new GS F sedan makes its first appearance in Chicago since it was revealed to the world in January. The Lexus exhibit at the Chicago Auto Show features a full line of awe-inspiring vehicles that stroke emotions and drive the senses.
The GS F is the newest addition to the brand’s “F” lineage, which is symbolized by sound, response and power. The GS F builds upon the mid-size GS luxury sedan with re-engineering to the car’s engine, driveline and suspension along with overall tuning that optimizes its reflexes. The throaty naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V8 engine produces 467 hp and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The new model arrives is dealers later this year.
The Lexus display features more than 20 vehicles, showing the range of Lexus segment offerings including sporty, performance-oriented F SPORT models, the most hybrid models available in the luxury segment and the limited edition Crafted Line.
Live entertainment will also be featured in the exhibit as Luxury Awaits, the brand’s luxurious lifestyle guide, introduces “Lexus Verses and Flow” at the Chicago Auto Show. The award-winning “Lexus Verses and Flow” series brings a strong roster of R&B music artists delivering powerful performances to McCormick Place. Visitors to the show can enjoy free live music while savoring delicious Garrett’s Popcorn and drinks at the Lexus coffee bar. Following each performance, attendees are invited to stay for a special artist meet-and-greet. Attendees are also encouraged to take photos of the Lexus performers and share their experience on social media.
On Saturday, Feb. 14,“Lexus Verses and Flow” welcomes Carl Thomas, one of the first artists signed to Sean “Puffy” Comb’s Bad Boy Entertainment, for two performances, 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Thomas has released four albums and appeared multiple times at the top of the Billboard charts. Vocalist Angie Stone brings her neo-soul, hip-hop musical styles to the Lexus exhibit on Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. For three decades, Stone has been surprising audiences, critics, peers and the music industry itself as she consistently delivers surprises.
