Owning this car back in the early 90's was a real pleasure. Back then being a young lad and owning a BMW was a bit of a status symbol, all be it a little more expensive than owning your Ford Escort or Vauxhall Cavalier etc back then.

When I first got the car, I decide I wanted a set of nice number plates and as luck would have it, a flick through Autotrader landed me with a cheap Northern Irish number plate (XXI 3231), of cousre the 1's and I's looked the same, so was a great little buy.

I then fitted a full Ansa exhaust system and being the early 90's a set of chrome wheel arches :-o as there was already lots of chrome on the car. I Also replaced the original alloys for the then popular lattice style alloys and to go with these I added a gold coach line to blend in.

Next I took it for a rolling road test and tuneup. It needed very little fettling and produced pretty much what the factory ratings were.

I didn't do much else to the car, as I felt it didn't need it and if i had the chance to own it again, I would. I was a member of the BMW Driver Club with this car.

PS: sorry for the pictures - couldn't have been bothered to wash the car when I took the pics!
