Taking place from 08:30am on Sunday 23 October at JD Classics’ world-class repair, restoration and preparation facility in Maldon, Essex, guests will also have the chance to look around the 100,000 sq/ft site. It features metalwork, paint and engine shops, as well as seven showrooms stocked full of concours-standard restorations and motorsport legends.
From 10:30am, Derek Bell MBE and compere Simon Taylor will take to the stage for a Q&A session, during which Derek will relive some of his most incredible racing highlights. And there are plenty to pick from, with five wins at Le Mans from 1975 to 1987, two World Sportscar Championship wins in 1985 and 1986, and three 24 Hours of Daytona wins in 1986, 1987 and 1989.
Derek Hood, JD Classics Managing Director, said: “Our breakfast mornings are always very special events; we love welcoming car enthusiasts and loyal customers through our doors, giving them a behind-the-scenes look at all the amazing work we do here. It’s an absolute privilege to have Derek Bell in attendance; his racing career is highlighted with win after win at the world’s most demanding events and I’m certain his talk at our October breakfast morning will be one to remember.”
Due to exceptionally high demand for the JD Classics breakfast mornings, tickets to the event are only available through a ballot. Those wishing to be allocated tickets should call +44 (0) 1621 879579. Ballot closes on Friday 7th October
