Countdown Begins For Britain's Biggest Ford Event (6)

  • Ford Fair to take place at Silverstone, Northants, on August 7
  • Thousands of classic and modern Fords to attend
  • mountune to be headline sponsor
  • Track time, club displays and the chance to win a Focus ST

The biggest and best event in the Ford calendar is just weeks away, and for 2016 it promises to be even more action-packed than ever before.

Taking place at the legendary Silverstone Circuit in Northants, Ford Fair will have over 4,000 club cars on display, plus many other classic and modern Fords, from concours Cortinas to Feisty Fiestas, from all over the UK and beyond.

Once again, the event will be sponsored by aftermarket Ford specialists, mountune. The tuning and parts specialist will also be showing a host of performance cars and famous faces on its stand, and in action on the day, including former BTCC champion and Motorbase Performance/Pirtek Racing’s Andrew Jordan.

Phil Weeden, Kelsey Media MD said: “We’re delighted to have mountune back on board as our headline sponsor for Ford Fair at Silverstone. It’s great to be partnering this event with a respected brand like mountune, a brand that has justifiably earned its position as a market leading specialist in the Ford aftermarket.”

The Live Action Arena will once again be at the centre of the show. If you like seeing fast Fords smoking tyres, pulling skids, and generally being thrashed about then the Live Action Arena is definitely not to be missed.

And Ford itself will be back at Ford Fair 2016, bringing a selection of the latest performance models along. While the Blue Oval is very tight-lipped about just what cars it’ll be displaying this year, they’re bound to be impressive and highly desirable.

There will also be a special display of the UK’s fastest Fords. Invited as special guests by the Fast Ford team, these very special cars are, quite simply, some of the fastest Fords you’ll find anywhere in the UK. They’ll be performing on the Silverstone circuit in their very own track sessions at 12:00 and 15:00. And when they’re not, you’ll be able to get up close and personal with these amazing machines on the Fast Ford stand.

Right at the centre of the show you’ll find the UK’s number one Ford tuning magazine – Fast Ford. Packed full of past, present, and future feature cars, the stand will play host to some of the very best fast Fords the UK has to offer. The stand will also be the base for the UK’s Fastest Fords when they’re not busy blasting around the track.

Ford Fair is for Blue Ovals of all ages, but there is also a dedicated area – the Classic Zone -celebrating all things classic Ford, run by Classic Ford magazine and sponsored by Ford performance specialists Burton.

Here you will find a host of classic Ford car clubs and an array of classics on display, so there is sure to be something for everyone.

Other show highlights will include a concours display, individual entries, a best wheels award, public track time, a show and shine and a packed retail village, plus the chance to win a Ford Focus ST.

Already, over 4,000 Fords are booked into club displays, promising a fun-filled day for all fans of the UK’s most popular car brand.
