Uses a Cosworth developed engine. There is also a 200bhp version (Caterham 7 CSR 200), with a 0-60 time of 3.7 and top speed of 140mph. In 2006 a CSR 260 superlight version was built that is 25kg lighter, 0-60 in 3.1 and 155mph top speed. A note about 0-60 times for the 2004 on 260 CSR - the times vary depending on source 3.1 to as high as 4.1, however Car and Driver did record a time of 3.6 secs.
