Castle Combe Set To Host JDM Combe June 2017
Castle Combe has opted to celebrate the great and the good of the Japanese car world with an all new show dedicated to these very cars, JDM Combe on Saturday 10th of June.

It really hasn’t taken long for the likes of the Toyota Supra Turbo, Nissan Skyline, Subaru Impreza STI and the Honda Civic Type R to become part of the very fabric of the modified car culture, and each has its own rabid, hugely passionate following. JDM Combe aims to celebrate everything from the ‘land of the rising sun,’ a gathering of like minded car fans at one of the UK’s greatest circuits and show venues.

Of course Japanese car culture has long been about far more than static displays, the most obvious example of this being drifting, an art form that Castle Combe has long championed. JDM Combe certainly won’t disappoint those that like their Supras and S13s sideways and belching huge plumes of tyre smoke, with drift demos from the guys at Drift Outlaws running throughout the day. Mission Motorsport will also be in attendance with their manic track cars (including the oh so famous Evo), meaning that those who wish to experience Combe in the best possible manner, from the passenger seat while a pro drives, can do so. Head over to the JDM Combe website to bag your space in the hot seat.

Those that wish to take to the track in their own cars will be equally well catered for with a selection of pre-bookable track time sessions available via the website, and a select number up for grabs on the day. Not everyone fancies pushing their car to the ragged edge in front of a crowd though, hence why JDM Combe will also feature a Top 25 parade, a chance for the most exotic and interesting cars in attendance to tour the track and generally soak up the adoration, so well worth remembering if you’re lucky enough to have something like an Impreza P1 or Datsun 240Z in the garage.

Clubs and forums continue to play a central role in all Castle Come shows and JDM Combe is no exception. Over 250 club cars have already booked and confirmed their attendance, with many more expected to sign up in the coming weeks and months. Those that do will no doubt be competing for the coveted ‘Best Club Stand’ trophy, as well as individual gongs for ‘Car Of Show’ and ‘Cleanest Car.’ It means that there’s more reason than ever to make sure your pride and joy is looking its best, particularly as the circuit photographers will be doing the rounds and snapping cars that catch their eye.

Not only are advanced tickets to JDM Combe just £12, under 17 year olds get in for free, meaning there’s no excuse not to treat the whole family to a day out! There will also be an impressive variety of off-track entertainment, including child-friendly entertainment, food stalls and an expanded trade village selling everything from stickers to straight-through exhausts.

2017 is set to be Castle Combe’s busiest year yet thanks to the addition of a number of high profile car shows and race meetings, and JDM Combe is a great example of this. Those that worship at the alter of VTEC, 2JZ or SR20DET would be well advised to head along to Castle Combe on Saturday 10th of June!
