There’s no doubting the fact that the Mercedes tuners from BRABUS are rated as a world leader in their class. While the legacy of company founder Professor Bodo Buschmann is carried on by his son Constantin Buschmann at the company’s headquarters in Bottrop, a small number of selected BRABUS Gold Partners are allowed to convert premium vehicles into ‘genuine’ BRABUS models with the official blessing of the company. One such predestined Gold Partner is concepts. And the Hannover-based operation has demonstrated what’s possible with the BRABUS 800 pictured here, which is based on the mighty Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S four-door coupé.

The most powerful factory-built engine in AMG’s portfolio (639 hp and 900 Nm) was thus given a BRABUS PowerXtra B40S-800 performance upgrade, boosting the 4.0 l V8 twin turbo – the name says it all – to 800 hp. The maximum torque was limited at 1,000 Nm electronically to protect the powertrain. The above equipment allows the 2.1-ton all-wheel drive vehicle to shoot from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and its top speed is limited to 315 km/h electronically.

Although this lightning-fast car from Swabia, Germany, was already equipped with AMG’s own aerodynamics package at the factory and the installation of BRABUS aerodynamic parts could thus confidently be dispensed with, concepts has underlined the BRABUS pedigree with numerous elements from the exterior accessories package.

The powerful four-door coupé’s head-turning appearance is undoubtedly also due in no small part to its full-body wrap in CC4165 Badlands Green with copper elements. Reminiscent of a military vehicle, Badlands Green is a limited-edition film from PWF, further enhancing the exclusivity of the wrap. The wrapping experts from have additionally protected the front of the vehicle from stone chippings and similar ‘bombardment’ with XPEL Ultimate Plus paint protection film.

Copper elements also appear on the gloss black BRABUS Monoblock Z forged rims – 10.5×21 inch with Pirelli P Zero high-performance 275/35ZR21 tires on the front axle and a massive 12.0×22 inch with 335/25ZR22 Pirelli rubber at the back – as well as on the BRABUS design brake calipers that form part of the enormous carbon-ceramic brake system. A BRABUS Airmatic Sports Unit takes care of lowering the vehicle’s center of gravity electronically, which in addition to the visual benefits also enhances driving dynamics.

A genuine highlight in the dark is – in the truest sense – the fascinating starlight headliner, which forms a shimmering firmament with its countless individual LEDs.

On top of that, the BRABUS interior accessories package enhances the cockpit with elegant touches and details.
