Welcome to my Performance Car Guide website About Me Page.

I have always been interested in cars since as far back as I can remember. From playing scalelectrics and making motorised models and playing Top Trumps as a child, to being a mechanic as soon as I left school.

The later didn't last long, as I was disillusioned by the way garages struggled to make a living. So I ended up in IT.

However I have remained involved with cars and tinkering, belonging to the Opel Manta Owners Club (twice), BMW Drivers Club, Vauxhall Performance Car Club, American Auto Car Club International, Classic Camaro Club (of which I wrote an article on Camaros in the Motorvatinusa club magazine, with my Camaro placed on the front cover). I would have probably joined many more clubs, but you have to balance family commitments with your hobbies (don't you?).

The articles are all written by me and where possible I have given my own personal advice/guidance and hopefully some idea’s and information that you will find useful. So please enjoy the website and I hope you find what I’ve written of some use.
