| Additional Info: The automatic Camaro SS gets 400bhp. The 3.6 litre V6 Camaro LS and Camaro LT's have around 300bhp and get to 60 in around 5.9 secs, 1/4 mile is covered in 14.4 secs. An RS package is available for the LT and SS models and gives HID headlights, different rear lights, spoiler, special trim and 20" wheels for the LT models. A convertible is also available. Used in the movie "Transformers" 2 years before release to the public (a Special Edition Transformers Camaro is now also available). Of course there are many other additional performance models being built by specialist tuners already. In 2011 the V6 was re-rated at 312bhp with no apparent changes made to the engine. Also in 2011 a convertible was now added to the line-up. For the 2012 MY, the V6 will get a power increase to 323bhp and a ZL1 with a 580bhp/556lbft 6.2 litre engine will be added. The supercharged ZL1 will get to 60 in around 3.9 secs, cover the 1/4 mile in 12.3 secs and go onto a 184mph top speed, it has also set a time of 7:41.27 around the Nurburgring. Camaro is available once again in the UK in 2011. |
